Paying Property Taxes through Mortgage Escrows

Do you pay your property taxes through an escrow account with your mortgage lender?  If you pay your taxes via mortgage escrow and you have either recently refinanced, paid off your existing mortgage loan or you have financed a new home, please call your lender to be sure they have updated the mortgagee clause and added our information to your mortgage to send a tax bill to.  On your tax bill there should be a mortgage code number if they have requested to the Township that a tax bill be sent to them.  An Informational copy of the tax bill is sent to you as the homeowner as well in that case.  If there is no mortgage code, the original tax bill will be sent to the property owner of record and mailing address as requested.
