CLARIFICATION: WHAT IS A BALLOT SELECTION FORM?

With the passing of Proposal 22-2 on November 7, 2023, voters can choose to be added to the Permanent Ballot List which means they will be mailed a ballot before every election they are eligible to vote in. This election is for the Presidential Primary and the Clerk needs to know which ballot the voter is requesting (Ballot Selection Form): Republican, Democratic or Ballot without Presidential Primary (if available). The new law REQUIRES the Clerk to contact every voter on the Permanent Ballot List that has not returned their Ballot Selection Form. 

THIS DOES NOT STOP ANY VOTER FROM VOTING AS THEY CHOOSE. The only way a voter is added to the Permanent Ballot List is through their request. If you did not choose this method than nothing changes for you.

Since this email went out we have received 162 more Ballot Selection Forms. Thank you to those that have returned them. Now we have 385 more to go! 

The law requires the Clerk to contact EVERY VOTER ON THE PERMANENT VOTER LIST that hasn't returned their BALLOT SELECTION FORM. If you have not returned the BALLOT SELECTION FORM because you do not want to vote in the Presidential Primary please still send in the form marking the third choice "BALLOT WITHOUT PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY (if available) For voters not voting in the Presidential Primary who wish to vote on other proposals or candidates only."

Help needed! If you are on the Permanent Ballot List and received a Ballot Selection Form like the one pictured here - Please return it to the Clerk's office as soon as possible. The new law requires me to contact all Perm Ballot Voters that have not returned their ballot selection form by January 18th (tomorrow). Right now that is 547 voters.
